The whole point of education is self-realisation and self-knowledge. The school is a child's Alma Mater — a foster mother. It is therefore the responsibility of the school to prepare the child for the life ahead, instilling the right blend of attitude, values and skills so that she or he can face the challenges of real life without straying from the right path. We believe in grooming the child into a complete and balanced personality. We believe in making life a success rather than just being successful in life. At Daffodils we are committed to this ethos from the core of our hearts.

Securing good marks and grades is just one small aspect of a child's development. The cultivation of a global outlook, love for nature and concern for humanity are integral to our educational aims.

At Daffodils English Academy it is our aim not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate our students to be rational and critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society. A broad, balanced, child-centred curriculum

Our curriculum provides for the academic, moral, physical, creative, personal and social development of every child. Our approach is child-centric, encouraging activity-based learning and a scientific spirit of free enquiry. The pupil is the primary focus, and each child is involved in the learning process. The purpose of education, for us, is to replace an empty mind with an open one.

We constantly improve our teaching methodology so that learning becomes a combination of classroom study, research and discovery. Our teachers encourage each child to develop in their own field of interest, to showcase their particular talent and to grow to their full potential.

Our educational philosophy is centred on praise, encouragement, enthusiasm and affection rather than criticism, fear and punishment. We not only appreciate our pupils when they succeed but also embrace them when they fail.

Aristotle said, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” Even as we keep pace with technology and globalisation, we march our children ahead with DEA's ethos of moral values and principles, helping them grow into sensitive and responsible citizens of the next generation.
